DESCRIPTION
Rare “black” greek honey from honeydew. Like a modern day druid, Andreas Zafiropoulos transfers his beehives at the ancient oak forest of Foloi, in the midst of summer, in July and August: it is at that time when the insect-workers eviscerate the proud, unbowed oak trees. The sugary juices secreted by the trees are collected by Andreas’ bees and the light-colored honeycombs fill up with thick, rich, black drops of an ancient-old, definitive tastiness.
TASTE/SERVE:
Moderate fluidity, dark, almost black colour, robust tastiness and aftertaste, the precious extract of the forest. Uncooked covering the breakfast bread, as yogurt topping or topping to special sweets. A great ingredient when cooking game and foraging products.
